2mm Pitch USB cables and adaptors
This pages gives a brief description of our USB cables and adaptors designed for use with motherboards and other equipment that use 2mm pitch pin headers. These cables allow devices with standard pitch headers or USB sockets to be connected to a 2mm pitch USB header on a motherboard.
Please note these cables are NOT SUITABLE for use with standard motherboards. For standard motherboards you should view the cables in the "USB cables list" link on the menu on the right.
Pin headers with a 2mm pitch are smaller than standard motherboard USB pin headers. The spacing between the pins is 2mm compared to 2.54mm on a standard USB header. To check the pitch of your pin header you should measure the distance between the first and last pin on one row of pins on the header. For a 5 pin header the distance will be 8mm for a header that uses a 2mm pitch.
2mm pitch headers are used by some manufacturers on their motheboards, for example some shuttle, dell and IBM motherboards have a USB header with a 2mm pitch. Motherboards used in embedded systems and other special applications also sometimes use 2mm pitch headers.
All cables are USB 2.0.
This cable allows you to connect a single 4 or 5 pin USB device with a standard 2.54mm pitch header to a motherboard USB pin header with a 2mm pitch. .
The cables are 55cm long and feature :-
A standard pitch 5 way device connector (2.54mm pitch).
A 2mm pitch 5 way motherboard connector.
This cable allows you to connect two 4 or 5 pin USB devices with standard 2.54mm pitch headers to a 2x5 way motherboard USB pin header with a 2mm pitch. .
Alternatively you can connect a single USB unit with a standard 2.54mm pitch 8/9 or 10 pin header to a 2x5 way motherboard USB pin header with a 2mm pitch.
When connecting 4/5 pin devices, these can be located in different parts of the PC case, for example in different drive bays.
The cables are 55cm long and feature :-
Two standard pitch 5 way device connectors (2.54mm pitch).
One 2x5 way motherboard connector with a 2mm pitch.
The two standard pitch 5 way connectors can be placed alongside each other to form a 2x5 way connector.
This cable allows you to connect devices with a standard 5 pin USB mini B connector to a motherboard with a 2mm pitch USB pin header.
The cables are 60cm long and feature :-
A 5 way 2mm pitch motherboard USB pin header connector at one end.
A standard 5 pin USB mini B plug at the other.
This cable allows you to connect devices with a standard USB B connector to a motherboard with a 2mm pitch USB pin header.
The cables are 60cm long and feature :-
A 5 way 2mm pitch motherboard USB pin header connector at one end.
A standard USB B plug at the other.
These cables convert one row of pins on a 2mm pitch motherboard USB pin header into a standard female USB A type socket.
The cables allow any device that uses a standard USB A plug/cable to be connected to a motherboard USB header that uses a 2mm pitch header.
The cables are available in a variety of lengths and feature :-
A 5 way 2mm pitch motherboard USB pin header connector at one end.
